State rep to deploy overseas with Air National Guard

ABBOTSFORD, Wis. (WSAU) – A state lawmaker is about to make his second trip overseas with the Air National Guard.

Assembly Republican Scott Suder of Abbotsford is a staff sergeant with the 115th Fighter Wing. His unit assists F-16 pilots.

Suder did not say exactly where he’s going, or when he’ll take off.

He’s been a member of the unit since 2003 – and was deployed to Qatar in ’04.

Suder said his office would stay open to help constituents, and he wished his colleagues well.

The 40-year-old Suder is in his 11th year in the State Assembly.
