WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – The president of Northcentral Technical College will trade in a warm, comfy bed for a camping tent on the front lawn of her school tonight.
Dr. Lori Weyers will celebrate her accomplishment to grow the school to 30,000 students and 3,000 full-time employees since she began as president three years ago.
“We’re very proud of the college accomplishments and the willingness for all of our staff to do that extra mile in order to serve our students in a more convenient, flexible, accessible way,” Weyers said.
Nine other members of the school’s executive leadership team will join Weyers in camping out. King’s Campers of Rib Mountain is providing at least two campers as backup in case it turns too cold.
The camp out is from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. tomorrow.
