Boater missing in Door County

UNDATED (WSAU) The Coast Guard has suspended a search for a 40-year-old boater missing in the Bay of Green Bay off Door County.

Sheriff’s deputies were told late Sunday night that a man fell from a 27-foot craft on a trip from Fish Creek to Marinette. The man was from Green Bay, but his name was not immediately released. State and local rescuers joined the Coast Guard in a 19-hour search that ended about 7:40 last night.

Lieutenant Kristie Salzmann says authorities will need new information before they’ll resume the search.
